Meet the Self-balancing bike from BMW Motorrad, the Vison Next 100

The German automaker, BMW Motorrad has come up a bike that can revolutionize the world of motorcycles. BMW Motorrad has developed such a hyper-advanced motorcycle that can self-balance itself. The bike is so safe that it eradicates the need for any riding gear or even a helmet. The bike is called as Vision Next 100 which also offers a headset to the rider that tells everything from upcoming traffic behavior, road condition and everything necessary.

The unveiling of the BMW Vision Next 100 is a part of company’s 100th-anniversary celebrations. The bike has been made to stand upright at all times, even when it is at standstill. “Its self-balancing system will help protect the rider at any time,” said Edgar Heinrich, the design director of BMW’s motorcycle division. “Any late reaction from the driver will trigger and the vehicle will balance out.”

Its body is comprised of a flexible carbon fiber material offering impeccable strength and very less weight. Being a green alternative, it runs on zero emission and comes with a camera-based sensor technology called driver assistance. The sad part is that the bike will not be available for a long time to come as it is just in its concept form and production version will take quite a lot of time to be in final form.

Edgar Heinrich, head of design at BMW Motorrad said, “Normally when we develop a motorcycle, we tend to think five to 10 years in advance. On this occasion, we looked much further ahead and found some very attractive prospects.”

Stay tuned as we bring you more updates on the same.
