Mercedes-AMG GT R has clocked the fastest lap ever by a production car at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. It zipped through the F1 track in 02:09.853, breaking the earlier ‘Fastest Lap’ record (2:14.521) of Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in March, 2013. The speed test was conducted by FMSCI and the AMG GT R was driven on the track by AMG Driver Christian Hohenadel. Fondly addressed as ‘Beast of the Green Hell’, the Mercedes-AMG GT R would be launched on August 21, 2017 in the Indian market.
