German luxury car giant, Mercedes-Benz India today launched Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe ‘OrangeArt’ Edition and the SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ Edition in the country priced at Rs 1.02 crore and Rs 87.84 lakh. The limited numbers, special-edition models were introduced by Mr. Roalnd Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and will have a limited run of 25 units.

Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said: “The AMG brand signifies not just thoroughbred, motorsport-derived performance, but true exclusivity as well. With these limited edition models, we are heightening the sporty aspect of Mercedes-AMG and are confident that fans of the brand in India will be excited with these new offerings. We will continue to boost our AMG portfolio and enhance the brand promise of ‘driving performance’ even more in this market.”

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC ‘OrangeArt’ uses a high displacing 3.0-litre V6 direct injection bi-turbo engine that makes 390hp at 6100rpm against 520Nm torque between 2000 to 4200rpm. It takes around 5.7 seconds to sprint from rest to 100km/h while attaining a top speed of 250km/h. The SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ gets power from the same bi-turbo unit, albeit the power output is slightly less at 367hp between 5500 to 6000rpm, while the torque remains same. In comparison to the OrangeArt version, the SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ takes lesser time to accelerate to 100km/h from stand still and offers same speed as 250km/h.

The GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe ‘OrangeArt’ is available in three paint finishes including polar white, Obsidian black and Selentine Grey. At the side, it gets chunky 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in an exclusive high-gloss black painted finish with orange rim flange. On the inside, it features nappa leather upholstery with orange piping and contrasting topstitching in grey.

The SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ on the other hand is offered with just two paint finishes-Polar white and Designo selenite grey mango (optional). As the name suggests, it gets a tinge of red on the front and rear aprons, bumper and brake calipers with AMG lettering. Matching the muscular looks, the coupe features 18-inch AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels.
