Mercedes-Benz has launched the much awaited S63 AMG in India at a price tag of Rs 2.55 crores (ex-showroom, India). The Mercedes-AMG S63 is the two-door, four-seater performance focused coupe based on the company’s flagship sedan S-Class. As part of the facelift, the car comes wearing several upgrades that make it not only eye-catching, but very aggressive looking as well.
The Mercedes-AMG S63 coupe gets a sporty and aggressive looking large Panamericana grille with vertical slats and the AMG signature. Headlamps come with updated look and there is a spindle-like front bumper design adding zing to the car’s front profile. The German luxury car brand has already launched the S-Class facelift few months back and now it has introduced the performance based model in the country.
There will be alloy options for the buyers, while the rear gets new design LED taillights with sleek horizontal chrome trim blending them perfectly. Also, the quad exhausts come with slanted appearance. Inside the cabin, the S63 AMG gets inspiration from the S-Class sedan blended with typical AMG styling. It boasts Nappa leather wrapped bucket seats, carbon fibre inlays on door trims. Centre console and the dashboard too come updated. Apart from that, the cabin also features three-zone climate control, electric sunroof, ventilated seats etc.
Power source for the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe is an AMG 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine sourced from the AMG GT. This engine is mated to a 9-speed dual-clutch Speedshift transmission and it churns out 612 bhp of peak power along with 900 Nm of massive torque output. The rear-wheel drive performance coupe accelerates to 100 kmph from standstill position in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.
