Mercedes-AMG S63 is World’s Most Powerful Cabriolet by Brabus

In the world of performance enhanced and power-packed cabrios, anyone searching for world fastest or most powerful cars, they definitely look for the source. We all know brands like Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin are one such beastly powered machine manufacturers, but Brabus is German tuner that enhances these car too much more. One such car is the Mercedes-AMG S63 by Brabus that was unveiled at the 24 hours Le Mans.

Speaking of the exterior, you will find extensive use of carbon-fibre components that includes tailor-made carbon surrounds for the large side air intakes in the front bumper, naked carbon covers for the exterior mirrors. It gets 21-inch hi-tech forged wheels, Brabus’ stainless-steel sport exhaust system, while in ‘Coming Home’ standard mode the exhaust note realy gets subtle.

Inside, the S-Class Cabriolet features scuff plates with backlit brand logo, along with ambient interior lighting, carbon interior components by the company, replacing the production wood inlays and trim strips in the cockpit, aluminium components such as the paddle shifters, pedals and door pins add markedly sporty highlights.

In terms of the tuning of the car, Brabus has increased the displacement from 5,461 cc to 5,912 cc by installing a forged Brabus special crankshaft with longer stroke, increasing the cylinder bore and fitting the matching forged pistons and high-performance connecting rods. The engine dishes out 838bhp at a low 5,400rpm and a peak torque of 1,450Nm, which is on tap between 2,500 and 4,500rpm, but it has been limited in the car to 1,150Nm. The power is transmitted to the wheels by the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system via seven-speed automatic transmission. It can make 0 – 100kmpl run in just 3.5 seconds before hitting a electronically- limited top speed of 350kmph.
