Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 Launched at Rs. 77.50 Lakhs

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG SLC 43 at a sticker price of Rs. 77.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It is the first company car in India to come with a new two digit nomenclature '43'. Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 had its world premiere around four moths back at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show to commemorate the 20 successful years of SLK internationally. With the launch of the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, we continue to follow our 'top of pyramid' approach and take pride in offering the widest range of performance vehicles for our astute Indian customers," commented Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes Benz India. The roadster flaunts Diamond radiator grille in chrome with louvre in iridium silver and LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and turn indicators. The air intakes have fins in silver chrome, while the flics are in high gloss black. In addition, the front apron boasts of front splitter, which is done in silver chrome.

Roland Folger further added, "We have a strategic focus on the AMG performance brand in India, and we are excited to see our strategy bearing fruits. With 10 AMG products, Mercedes-AMG now offers the largest performance cars portfolio and we comprehensively lead the top-end performance cars segment in India." The rear end of the SLC 43 gets redesigned LED tail-lamp cluster, Diffuser-look rear bumper with silver chrome trim, boot lid with brake lamp in the spoiler lip, and AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome-plated tailpipe tips with crossbar integrated flush into the bumper (4-pipe look).As for features, the open-top saloon comes with Electrical fore/aft, height and backrest angle adjustment with three memory settings, and Integral crash-responsive NECK-PRO head restraints. Needless to say, it also features AMG DYNAMIC SELECT with five driving modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual.

Mercedes-AMG SLC 43's roof can be closed and opened upto the speeds of 40kmph. As for the safety of occupants, it has a wide array of exquisite features such as 6-airbags, Adaptive Brakes with Anti-lock Braking system, 3-stage Electronic Stability Program (ESP), PRE-SAFE system with reversible belt tensioners for driver and front passenger seats, Adaptive brake lights and Crash-responsive head restraints. Under the hood, it has the 3.0L V6 bi-turbo engine which is developed by the AMG engineers. It belts out 367bhp of top power and 520Nm of peak torque, while paired to Merc’s new 9-speed automatic gearbox. It does a 0-100kmph sprint in just 4.7 seconds, while clocking an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
