According to certain reports, Mercedes Benz India is mulling to introduce the Celebration Edition of the its entry-level models, the A-Class and the B-Class in the country this month. The Celebration Edition models will bring to the table a host of new features and creature comforts in both diesel and petrol powered variants.
Mercedes Benz India had deliberately equipped the petrol variants of the A-Class and the B-Class with more features than their diesel counterparts, so as to push the sales of the former in the diesel-biased market that India had turned into. The Celebration Edition models aims to change this discrimination by extending the list of features in the diesel variants of the A-Class and the B-Class.
Inside the cabin, the Celebration Edition package will feature centre armrest, entertainment options for the rear seat, updated reversing camera and panoramic sunroof. The German automaker is also planning on bringing new colour schemes and upholstery options to the A-Class and the B-Class with the said Celebration Edition package.
In addition, the petrol variant of the B-Class will get a new suspension setup and smaller wheels with higher profile tyres to improve the ride quality of the Sports Tourer. The same suspension setup will also be seen in the A-Class luxury hatchback.
There is no official word from Mercedes Benz India on the said subject yet, but it is speculated that the Celebration Edition models of the A-Class and the B-Class will be offered on sales across Merc’s dealerships later this month.
