The stunning looking Mercedes Benz AMG-GT, which was launched earlier this month, is now officially available in 8 color options. The flagship color is the Golden Yellow shade, which they showcased in their launch event being driven by Nico Rosberg, F1 driver, Team Mercedes. Although the color names have not been revealed yet, we can definitely see the Red, black, white, blue, gray and maroon shades here.
The stonker of a car, AMG-GT houses a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine which produces 510bhp @ 6,250rpm and 650Nm between 1,750 rpm and 4,750rpm for the GT-S version. The standard version has the same mill producing 455bhp of power. This engine is the latest addition to the BlueDIRECT engine family and is Euro 6-compliant.

Mercedes-Benz has come up with the dynamic Drivetrain mounts (first car in the world) that edges the GT ahead of its competition (Porsche offer dynamic mounts only for the engine and transmission). They also have an electronic rear differential with adjustable dampers for added stability and advanced dynamic control. For braking the car at high speeds, the car incorporates a carbon-ceramic brakes and forged alloy wheels along with Michelin cup tires to add to it's handling characteristics.
Mercedes Benz AMG-GT will be directly competing against the Porsche 911, one of the best selling sports car around the globe and the recent Jaguar F-Type. Although, for the sheer looks, Mercedes AMG-GT is our favorite car, but Porsche has a fan following like none other. The Porsche boasts of an engine, which is one of the fastest engine in the world, combined with some gorgeous looks.
Taking heavy cue from the elder sibling, SLS AMG, the AMG-GT looks no less than her. Mercedes Benz makes sure that they offer every vehicle in India and do not differentiate between global and Indian markets. We are sure that in a couple of months, the AMG-GT will arrive in India, although it will be through the CBU route only. The expected price would be somewhere around 1.8-2.0crores.
