Mercedes-Benz India has announced that it would launch the C63 S AMG on September3, 2015 in the country. Being the 10th AMG model from the German luxury automaker in India, it is the performance-based derivative of the standard C-Class sedan. Also, it would be the company's 11th model launch in India under its '15 in 15' product strategy for the year. Just so you know, it would directly rival the BMW M3 and expect the pricing to be on the similar note.
As for exterior styling, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S is pretty similar to the C-Class, save for the AMG body kit, newly-designed alloys, and square chrome-plated tail exhausts. The interior cabin boasts of sport seats and a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel, while being finished in Alcantara leather. Also, carbon fibre is executed quite well to make it look even more sportier rather than concentrating on making it luxurious. Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG would be retailed as CBU in India. In addition, the company is also planning to introduce C450 AMG in the country. It would be quite affordable in terms of pricing as compared to the C63 S AMG.
Under the hood, the C63 S AMG would have a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine also does duties to the Mercedes-AMG GT, which would also be launched in India by the end of 2015. This engine would belt out 503bhp of maximum power and 700Nm of peaK torque. Being mated to a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift transmission, it would do a 0-100kmph under 4 seconds, while attaining an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. For those asking, Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG was firstly unveiled at 2014 Paris Motor Show.
