Mercedes-Benz India launched the new E 220 d 4Matic All-Terrain at a sticker price of Rs 75 lakh (Ex showroom). The E-Class All-Terrain gets a BS VI compliant diesel engine and can also run on BS IV fuel. The model was also showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. It will directly pounce with the Volvo V90 Cross Country on the Indian grounds.
Speaking at the Launch of the Mercedes-Benz E 220 d 4Matic All-Terrain Mr. Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain has a powerful, unique appearance coupled with go-anywhere capability which differentiates All-Terrain from a classic estate. It features a range of technologies that enhances driving pleasure and offers unmatched luxury with rugged appeal. The All-Terrain has the elegance and, luxury of an E-Class combined with the practicality and versatility of an SUV, with the go-anywhere capability of an off-roader.”
Exterior wise, the model gets honeycomb grille with the brushed silver slats, redesigned bumper along with faux diffusers, cladding on the sides and wheel arches, which extends to the rear as well. The estate crossover comes with chrome tipped twin exhausts at the rear and roof rails. The E-Class All-Terrain will be riding on 19-inch alloy wheels. In terms of the features, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain comes packed with a panoramic roof, ambient lighting controls, COMAND infotainment system and air suspension. It has a boot capacity of 640 litre that can be increased to 1,820 litrse by folding the second row of seats.

Under the bonnet, the new E 220 d All-Terrain is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that develops 192bhp of maximum power with 400Nm of top torque and comes mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It also gets a model-specific feature, All-Terrain transmission mode and is inspired from the Mercedes-Benz GLE range that offers off-road drive settings. It can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 8 seconds with a top speed of 231kmph.
