Mercedes Benz India Inaugurate New Service Facility in Coimbatore

Mercedes Benz India has inaugurated a world-class service facility in Coimbatore. It is one of the company's largest luxury service facility by Sundaram Motors spread across an extensive area of 80,000 sq. ft., in one of the fastest emerging markets in Tamil Nadu. The service facility is strategically located in the automobile hub of Coimbatore, which will serve as one-stop-shop destination for all customer service requirements in the region. The service facility entails a total of 26 service bays including both preventive maintenance and body & paint.

The Sundaram Motors facility can service up to 5000 cars per year using the 26 service bays. This is Mercedes-Benz’s 31st outlet in South India and the 10th one in Tamil Nadu. In addition, it is the second Mercedes-Benz facility in Coimbatore and Sundaram Motors’ 8th outlet for the German luxury automaker in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Built in a time span of 15 months, the world-class facility is set up with an investment of Rs 16 crores. The service facility has 50 professionally trained staff appointed to ensure personalized service to patrons. The facility was inaugurated by Santosh Iyer, Vice President - Customer Services and Corporate Affairs, Mercedes-Benz India and Sharath Vijayaraghavan, Executive Director, Sundaram Motors.

Speaking on this special occasion, Mr. Santosh Iyer, Vice President - Customer Services and Corporate Affairs, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “Sundaram Motors has been our trusted partner for two decades, and has implemented multiple service initiatives that has helped in cementing customer trust in this region. We are now looking at strategically expanding in the Tier II markets by offering world-class service facilities, comprising unique luxury elements, the best of products and exceptional customer service. Facilities such as this, only reiterates our confidence in the market and in our investors.” The company has largest network presence among luxury car makers with 94 outlets in 45 cities in India.
