Mercedes Benz India is flexing its muscles to roll out the highly potent CLA 45 AMG in the country on July 22. Ahead of the model’s commercial debut, the German automaker has released its first-ever, India-specific multimedia commercial titled, ‘Ah My God’ to get the noise levels up for its upcoming AMG product.
The film opens with shooting stars and a super that asks viewers when was the last time they felt something that just couldn’t be put into words - followed with a ski boarder on a snow capped mountain, a sky diver and a surfer on the screen. The next super asks when was the last time the viewer felt an emotion as indescribable as the experience itself. It then goes on to say, “Honestly, we get that feeling often’ followed with the action shots of the CLA 45 AMG doing what it does best on the racetrack.
Mercedes Benz India says that it could not find an expression to capture the ‘’indescribable feeling’ of driving the CLA 45 AMG and hence, coined the phrase ‘Ah My God!’ Eberhard Kern, managing director & CEO of Mercedes Benz India remarked, “As the CLA 45 AMG will reach out to a whole new young customer group, we are launching the ‘Ah My God’ campaign, which includes the first-ever India specific TV commercial. The excitement and buzz already generated in the digital space even before the car’s India launch, is a testimony of the inherent strength of the brand AMG and the bright prospect of the CLA 45 AMG.”
The Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG that is scheduled to go on sale later this month is expected to carry a sticker price reading Rs 60 lakh and above, which will make it the cheapest AMG on sale in the country.
