Mercedes-Benz India, for the first time in its history, has launched not one or two but 3 new cars in the country. The company has launched the S500 Coupe - the coupe version of its flagship product S-Class - at an introductory price of Rs. 2.0 Crores (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The German luxury automaker also launched the S63 AMG at a sticker price of Rs. 2.60 Crores (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). Additionally, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Crazy Colour Edition was launched at Rs. 2.17 Crores (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Talking about the Mercedes-Benz S500 coupe, it is powered by a 4.7L, twin-turbo, V8 engine which generates a maximum power of 453bhp and peak torque of 700Nm. For those asking, this same powertrain does the duties on company flagship S-Class saloon. Coming to the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, it is the performance-oriented version of S500 coupe. It gets its power from a 5.5L, twin-turbo, V8 motor which belts out a massive 577bhp of top power. The engine is linked to a 7-speed AMG Speedshift transmission, while being offered with both rear-wheel-drive and 4MATIC all-wheel drive systems. The former touches the 100kmph from standstill in a mere 4.2 seconds, while the latter is even quicker at 3.9 seconds for the same milestone.
The exterior styling of S500 coupe and S63 AMG is almost identical, save for the AMG body kit and carbon-fibre interior trim which makes the AMG avatar even more sportier and tempting. Now, the last but by no means the least, the 'Crazy Color Edition' of Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG would be available in 5 new paint shades: Solar Beam, Sunset Beam, and Alien Green. Being already in sale in India, the G63 AMG Crazy Colour Edition wouldn't witness any changes - be it interior cabin, be it engine and transmission or be it the exterior styling.
