Mercedes-Benz had just pulled off a stonker of a 2014 Formula 1 season by winning the Constructors' championship title, as well as giving both the champion and runners up driver, in the form of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. To commemorate their wins, Mercedes has revealed a special edition SL63 AMG.
The special edition SL63 AMG will be limited only to 19 units and is designed with assistance from both the drivers. As clearly seen from the images, one is a White colored car and the other a Black colored. And going by the nature of both the drivers, it won't be difficult to say that Hamilton is the inspiration behind the black one and Rosberg for the White one.
The cars, visually have very minor and subtle touches from the respective drivers. While the Black one comes with gold accents, the white one comes with silver touches. The Rosberg's car will be featuring the Hockenheim (Germany GP circuit) layout on the special badge and floor mats, the Germany GP circuit, while Hamilton's has the Silverstone track (British GP circuit).
Rest, mechanically the car will be the same, housing the same powerplant from the regular SL63 AMG. The 5.5 litre Bi-Turbo V8 AMG engine is capable of producing 577 hp. Both the cars were unveiled at the Stars & Cars event, in Stuttgart, Germany.
