Mercedes Benz is introducing the latest variant to its V-Class family, the V-Class Elite. This luxury MPV is launching in India on November 7, 2019.
Design-wise, this MPV is similar to the V-Class facelift launched in the international market earlier this year. The top-of-the-line trim has an extended wheelbase to make it an extremely spacious MPV.
The Mercedes Benz V-Class Elite exteriors comprise of revamped headlights, a remodeled grille, and new bumpers. The Mercedes Benz V-Class Elite interiors feature a large infotainment system apart from the new-styled dashboard with the latest control options.
This MPV comes with two seating configurations, the 4-seater, and the 7-seater. High-quality upholstery distinguishes the V-Class Elite interiors from its parent model. The international release comes with a camper package, whereas the Indian version does not have it at present.
The Mercedes Benz V-Class Elite is powered by a 2.2L diesel engine that delivers a power of 160bhp and peak torque of 380Nm. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission system pairs with this oil burner engine.
The international variant features a 4-cylinder OM 654 engine, whereas the V250-D and V300-D sport a 2.0L diesel motor. The new powertrain has two distinct tunings at 190bhp and 239bhp. It also boars of a modern 9G-TRONIC transmission system.
As on date, the Mercedes Benz V-Class Elite MPV does not have any competitor in the Indian market, but it would have to contend with the Toyota Vellfire MPV on its launch in the future.
