The waiting is nearly over, as the German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes has finally released some official images of the next generation Mercedes E-Class. The new E-Class dash reveals few surprises, with the car’s interior designers following the lead of its exterior style in taking their cues from the popular new C-Class and big S-Class for ideation.
Basically, the dashboard is designed into a more modernized version of the one found in the high-end Mercedes S-Class. The all-new Mercedes E-Class will be offered with the same dual-screen layout as in the S-Class with fully digital instrument cluster and just below the infotainment system displays the four round air vents. Different trim levels will feature different steering wheels, navigation system, materials, and trim.
The theme by Mercedes continues into the wide centre console, where we find the climate system controls and a stylish clock. A glance at the left side of the dashboard shows the controls of the assistance systems and the electric parking brake. Going with the theme, the controls for the front seats are located on the door panels along with the heating/cooling buttons, and the audio system speakers.
Due to scarce of official details at the moment, but reportedly the new E-Class will be offered with a so-called NFC system that will allow the driver to use his smartphone as a key, if he has a special secure SIM card, and also a remote parking system.
The Mercedes E-Class 2016 will be officially premiered in Detroit next month and expected to be on sale in April in Detroit, but we are hoping to see this next generation sedan to touch the grounds of India.
