One of the most controversial tuners out there, Mansory has done it again as their latest custom package for the Mercedes G63 AMG is not only striking both inside and out, but it also comes with a rather prohibitive price. They are asking €770,000 (54.1 million INR) for a fully customized version which as the images depict has a plethora of modifications.
Let’s start with the exterior by mentioning Mansory has installed a full custom body kit made entirely out of carbon fiber and 80 mm wider compared to the standard G63 AMG which even in stock form is an absolute beast. To make it stand out even more, the tuner applied an army camouflage while the stock wheels have been eliminated to make room for a new 22-inch set with 305/35/22 tires.
As for the interior, the G63 AMG Sahara Edition carries over the exterior styling and gets a similar green theme and a combination of leather and Alcantara that has been used on just about all visible surfaces, including the instrument cluster dials while carbon fiber accents have been added to boast desirability even further.
The list of changes doesn’t end here as Mansory also worked on the 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and they installed new cylinder heads, bearings, pistons, crankshaft and connecting rods while the new custom exhaust system is made entirely out of stainless steel. Once these upgrades have been implemented, the output of the 8-cylinder engine was increased from the regular 536 bhp and 760 Nm to a massive 828 bhp and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm which has been electronically limited in order to avoid ruining reliability.
On a related note, Mercedes-Benz recently said the G-Class will live on for as long as there will be enough demand and they also hinted at an upcoming more comprehensive update likely due next year or in 2017.
