Mercedes-Maybach S600 by Brabus gets 900 bhp

Snapshot: Reputable tuner Brabus has unveiled its latest project based on the Mercedes-Maybach S600.

As if the standard version of the full-size German executive limousine wasn’t already impressive enough in S600 guise, Brabus decided to upgrade the V12 6.0-liter engine and first they increased its displacement to 6.3 liters. After that, the standard turbochargers were replaced with larger units while a custom exhaust made from stainless steel was added. Other tweaks include a carbon fiber intake module and an optimized air supply while the boost pressure control and injection were revised as well.

The engineers also installed bespoke exhaust manifolds and free-flow metal catalysts, all for the purpose of bumping output to jaw-dropping levels. This is exactly what they have done as the V12 6.3-liter engine now deliveries an impressive 930 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 1,500 Nm of torque available at 4,200 rpm. Thanks to its powerful heart, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 by Brabus needs just 3.7 seconds to run the 0-100 kmph sprint and it will keep on accelerating until it hits a top speed of more than 350 kmph.

The tuning package goes beyond the engine department as the vehicle also comes with custom 21-inch Monoblock R PLATINUM EDITION or Monoblock VI evo lightweight forged wheels developed exclusively for this model and combined with front 255/35 ZR21 and rear 295/30 ZR21 tires available from Yokohama, Continental and Pirelli.

The list of upgrades continues with a custom front spoiler and radiator grille, integrated daytime running lights (with LEDs), along with larger air intakes, different front and rear bumpers, as well as a built-in rear diffuser which has cutouts for the quad exhaust tips that have a chrome-plated look to make the vehicle stand out even more.

Lastly, Brabus is providing Mercedes-Maybach S600 owners with a generous array of customizations for the lavish interior cabin which can gain a 400 kmph speedometer, wood trim, carbon fiber inlays, the tuner’s iBusiness rear-seat multimedia system and several Alcantara & leather upholstery options.
