Mercedes-Benz India would launch the Maybach S600 on September 25, 2015 in the country. Just so you know, Maybach is Mercedes-Benz's luxury sub-brand and the launch of S600 would also mark the introduction of Maybach in India. Mercedes-Maybach S600 is the company's flagship product worldwide and it would be retailed via CBU route in the country. Being unveiled simultaneously at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Guangzhou Auto Show in China in November last year, it is being claimed as 'World's Quitest Car'.
Measuring 5451mm in length, it is around 206mm longer than the standard S-Class. As for features, it comes loaded with adjustable seat backs, massaging seats including a Hot-Stone massage, fine leather upholstery, a chilled rear center armrest, Burmester 3D audio, and hand-crafted champagne flutes. In addition, the rear executive seating package is available as standard. The bookings for the Mercedes-Maybach S600 began in December last year, while the deliveries started in February 2015.
Under the hood, Mercedes-Maybach S600 would have a 6.0L V12 Bi-Turbo engine which develops a maximum power of 523bhp and peak torque of 830 Nm. It would be coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which would transmit the power to the rear wheels of the saloon. The prices for the S600 starts from 187,841 EUR (Rs. 1.4 Crores) globally, hence expect the India price in excess of Rs. 3-4 Crores (Ex. Showroom).
