Where U.S is the largest markets for the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class in the world, the German automaker won’t lose that popularity, by unveiling the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and CLA Shooting Brake facelift. The face-lifted CLA feature some attractive exterior tweaks and more available luxury equipment. These updated versions will make its way to debut at the New York Auto Show on March 23.
Speaking of the exterior, the facelift model features a diamond radiator grille in black as standard, a newly designed front bumper with a silver, black or chrome trim strip, and restyled 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear end, there is not much of the changes, but the tailpipe trim panels themselves are now integrated flush into the bumper. These models will now be available in a revised colour palette that includes Cavansite Blue Metallic. Not to forget, these models also gets several new options including LED High Performance headlights that have a colour temperature.
Inside, the interior of the CLA-Class and CLA Shooting Brake facelift receives minor changes like new seat covers and trim parts, chrome-plated controls and slimmer 8 inch media display. It also features new trim elements in sail-look finish, matt black ash wood (in conjunction with Exclusive package), black Dinamica microfibre (optional in conjunction with AMG Line) or aluminium with honeycomb grain, serve to liven up the interior.
Talking about the engine lineup, the CLA-Class and CLA Shooting Brake facelift will be offered in a variety of different engines in Europe. The engine lineup will include a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine pushing out 109 HP and 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel unit that will deliver 136 HP and 177 HP of power. In the petrol variants the choices will include a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that will capable to churn out 122 HP and 156 HP of power, while a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that dishes out 184 HP, 211 HP, 218 HP, and 381 HP.
In U.S buyers will get two engine options. The entry-level CLA 250 has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 208 HP and 350 Nm of torque, while the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 boasts an upgraded 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 375 HP and 475 Nm of torque. This engine is capable to accelerate from 0 – 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds with a topspeed of 250 kmph.
