Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift due for Paris Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz is preparing the facelift of its B-Class hatchback to debut the model at 2014 Paris Motor Show.  The new model will reach the international markets later this year, after its debut at the prestigious show. The B-Class was incepted in 2005 and recieved its next-generation avatar in 2011. Touted as Compact sports tourer, the B-Class is underpinned with similar platform as same as of its younger sibling, the A-Class.

The new 2014 model will get only minor cosmetic changes while the drivetrain and engine options are likely to remain same. As expected, the B-Class facelift will get the new headlights, revised grille and front and rear bumper, re-clustered taillight at the rear, while the side profiles will look fresh only with new alloy wheels. The B-Class is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol power plant in our country while the international markets do also have the additional options of 1.4 and 1.8-litre oil burners and one 2.0-litre petrol mill. All engine options will continue to be offered on the facelift.

The Mercedes B-Class, though, comes in the segment of premium hatchbacks in India but car provides ample amount of space for  passengers as well as for luggage. Although, it looks a bit bulky due to its enlarged proportions but car offers an overall comfortable yet practical driving experience. The new B-Class is expected to reach our shores soon after its arrival in the international markets.
