Mercedes confirmed the launch of E63 sedan taxing the AMG insignia in India on the 25th of July. This stunning sedan is stepping into India for the first time ever and will be a direct competitor to the only just launched Audi RS5 and the forthcoming S6.
The E63 will be imported into India as a fully built unit, and one can really expect everything that is to be anticipated from an AMG tuned replica. Without a doubt, luxury and performance is a blend of all Merc automobiles and the E63 is no exception, it is a perfect mixture of both, maybe more than others. The E63 is the 5th Merc model to be unveiled in India this year and it will be the 1st AMG edition. The already existing sedan the Merc E-Class is priced at 41.5 lakhs ex-showroom New Delhi, since the E63 will be imported as a completely built unit and will be tuned by AMG, you can definitely expect a colossal price tag to go with it. The E63 is powered by a 5.5 liter V8, that can drive out 550 BHP (brake horse power) and a maximum Torque of 700 NM (Newton meters). The 5.5 liter V8 is assisted by a 4matic arrangement that broadcasts power to all the four wheels. The E63 will have a 7-speed speedshift automatic gearbox. The former models of E63 were equipped with a 6.2 liter air cooled engine which had 520 BHP, a bit lesser than the new E63.
The new and improved E63 will trait a unique AMG ‘A-wing’ making the junior intakes and the twin-blade grille positioned accurately on top of it, and also will feature a black finished rear diffuser and a dual exhaust system exclusively done by AMG. The interior is now with silver colored seatbelts and Alcantara pop ins, to the Nappa leather covered steering wheel and a few parts of the interior.
The car is very well designed and tuned by AMG, meanwhile retaining the same level of perfection that Mercedes is known for. With a clear blend of looks and performance, only time will reveal the actual price tag and the success story of the car.
