The next generation Mercedes-Benz V-Class is ready to be unveiled on January 30, next year claimed by a report from Mercedes Passion Blog. Earlier, it was expected that Mercedes will showcase its new V-Class at the forthcoming Geneva Motor show. The report also carries an official teaser image of the car with it.
The V-Class was first introdused in 1996 and derives its name from Van family of Mercedes. The new V-Class will arrive as a replacement for the outgoing Viano and the unsuccessful R-Class by the company. As compared to Viano, the 2014 V-Class possess a more aggressive design, luxurious interiors, premium cabin with wood inserts, chocolate leather upholstery and several metallic accents.
According to reports, the base variant will be powered by a 2.1 litre diesel engine mated to seven-speed dual clutch transmission with an option of All-Wheel Drive.
Launch is expected in the March, next year and will be priced around 34,000 Euros (INR 28 Lakhs). However, there is still no word about this V-Class will make its way to India or not.
