Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the world’s most powerful drug trafficker escaped from the prison last weekend, using a motorcycle. Yes, we know what you are thinking about. It is pretty fascinating to imagine if Guzman actually rode the motorcycle to escape (like McQueen’s character attempts to do in the film “The Great Escape“). The motorcycle used by Guzman was specially-modified to run on rails and a mile-long tunnel was constructed 30-feet underground with the help of that specially-modified motorcycle.
According to the report, Guzman moved 3,250 tonnes of earth to create the tunnel. As you can see from the images, the motorcycle looks barebones, even the fuel tank was replaced with a plastic jug and seat was found nowhere on the bike. To move the motorcycle through the tunnels, the front end was specially mounted on a pair if rails. This is not the first time the world’s most powerful drug trafficker escaped from the jail; previously El Chapo escaped while hiding in a laundry basket. The Mexican Government has set a bounty of $3.8 million for the information leading to the capture of El Chapo, while the U.S government has upped the reward by $5 million.
