MG Hector bookings will start afresh from October 01, 2019.
MG Hector has sold more than 3500 units in two months.
The delivery for the new bookings will happen by the end of 2019 or early 2020.
MG Hector was introduced in India on June 2019. Due to an overwhelming response, MG Motor India had to suspend bookings temporarily in July 2019. By that time, the SUV had received more than 28,000 bookings online, as well as, at its dealerships all over India. The car sold more than 3500 units within two months of its launch. Now, MG Hector bookings will restart from October 01, 2019.
Though the bookings open on October 01, there is a waiting period for the actual delivery. The delivery might be towards the end of the year or early in 2020.
The MG Hector comes equipped with a 1.5L petrol or a 2.0L diesel engine capable of delivering 143hp and 170hp of power respectively. MG Hector has also introduced a 48V mild-hybrid variant with the petrol engine. It enhances the efficiency of the vehicle by 12%. The hybrid-petrol and diesel versions get manual transmission systems. However, the regular petrol variant comes with two gearbox options, a 6-speed manual or a DCT automatic transmission.
The MG Hector interiors are world-class with the top-spec coming with excellent features like the 10.4-inches iSmart Touchscreen infotainment system. AI-powered voice assistance is an exquisite feature, and so is the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The top-end variant comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, heater OVRMs, and automatic headlights.
MG Hector competes fiercely with other SUVs like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Tata Harrier. A 6-seater version of the MG Hector is in the works and will get an Indian launch in 2020. MG Motor has started testing the ZS-EV before launching it in 2020.
