  • MG Motor prepares to redefine the SUV and MPV segments by introducing luxury vehicles like the Gloster and G10.
  • The Gloster is due for launch during Diwali 2020 with the G10 following soon after that.
  • The MPV G10 is a full-sized MPV just as the Gloster is a massive SUV.

MG Motor brought the British legacy back to India with its fantastic introduction of the MG Hector in 2019. The model proved to be incredibly successful. It rekindled the Indian automotive lover’s interest in the MPVs and SUVs. Hence, a follow-up was always on the cards. The Auto Expo presented the ideal opportunity to MG Motor for introducing the luxury SUV Gloster and MPV G10.

Rajeev Chaba, President and MD, MG Motor India, reiterated the fact that the Auto Expo provided the best chance for MG to display its forthcoming products to an enthusiastic Indian audience. MG Motor has grabbed this opportunity to highlight their technology prowess across areas like car connectivity, electric transmission and autonomous technology. He stated that the Gloster will prove to be a benchmark for luxury SUV, just as the G10 will be for the MPV market.

The company plans to launch the G10 soon after the Gloster later this year. For the uninitiated, the G10 is a globally successful model across countries like the Middle-East, Australia, and the South American countries, to name a few. The vehicle comes with interesting seating arrangements, touch-free smart sensing rear tailgate, panoramic sunroof, and smart automatic sliding doors. The objective is to provide the luxury of the highest order. Dimensions wise, the Gloster and the G10, do not compromise on the in-cabin space, comfort, and safety. Thus, the G10 has the potential to redefine the MPV segment.

Apart from introducing these luxury cars in India, the MG Pavilion endeavours to engage the visitors with options like MG Caffe and an accessories and merchandise section. The MG pavilion also had a dedicated segment for the brand mascot, Avira and i-SMART, the technology that drives the Hector and ZS EV. The Hector is India’s first internet-enabled car, and the ZS EV, the first pure electric internet SUV.

Besides these cars, MG Motor has showcased 14 advanced vehicles across different segments like hatchbacks, sedan, and Utility Vehicles. MG Motor has made its debut at the Auto Expo a memorable one by showcasing concepts like Marvel-X, Vision I Concept, E200, and eMG 6 amongst many others.
