The MG ZS EV is getting ready for a launch in India in January 2020 with its unveiling due on December 05, 2019. MG Motor India has announced that the pre-booking of the electric vehicle will begin in December 2019. Ahead of its debut, MG Motor India has listed the MG ZS EV on its website.
MG Motor India has been active on social media in recent times with its cheeky comments on the ‘Odd-Even’ rule in the NCR. MG Motor India had used the caption, ‘EVen against the Odds.’
Spy shots reveal that MG has already tested the ZS EV on Indian roads many times. The vehicle will come to India in the CKD mode with the assembling of the car taking place at MG Motor India’s plat at Halol in Gujarat. MG Motor India plans to deliver the MG ZS EV to select customers even before its launch.
In technical terms, the MG ZS EV is a pure electric version of the famous MG ZS. The MG ZS competes with the Hyundai Creta in the international markets. The MG ZS EV will receive its power from an electric motor capable of churning out a maximum power of 150ps (110KW) and a peak torque of 350Nm.
The ZS EV has a great pick up, as it is capable of racing from 0 to 50kmph in 3.1 seconds. The motor gets its support from the CATL-made 44.5kWh battery pack. NEDC records state that the MG ZS EV can deliver 335 km on a single charge.
The MG ZS EV dimensions are 4314mm X 1809mm X 1620/1644mm (LxWxH) with a ground clearance of 161mm and a wheelbase span of 2585mm.
The MG ZS EV price should be around Rs 20 lakhs.
