Mini has launched the new special edition Mini Cooper Oxford in India at a price point of Rs 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Only 25 units of the limited edition Mini Cooper Oxford will be available for retail. The limited run version is being offered on the three-door S model and it can be had in two colour options-Solaris Orange with jet black accents and Midnight Black with Solaris orange accents. Customers can choose from a wide variety of bespoke styling options including the Paino Black Exterior pack, Mini John Cooper Works Spoiler and Aerodynamic pack and the Mini Yours pack. Talking about the Piano Black Exterior kit, it comprises gloss black rings around the headlamps, radiator grille, tail light surrounds, fuel filter cap and door handles. While the Mini John Cooper Works Spoiler and Aerodynamic pack offers Mini John Cooper Works rear spoiler and styling, a chrome finished exhaust pipe and 17-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the Mini Yours customized parts include special LED door projectors, LED door sill finishers and side scuttles.
In addition to the customized packs, the Mini Cooper Oxford gets two colour options for the leather sport seats including the Solaris orange and Leather Chester Malt. A head-up display and a panoramic roof are also the part of the standard package, though customers get a choice between Mini Excitement and Mini Wired packs for the interiors. The Mini Excitement pack comes with ambient lighting in 12 colours, LED interior, rear lit decorative strip for the instrument panel on the passenger side and piano black Union Jack design on the central console.
The Mini Wired pack offers a large 8.8-inch touchscreen with a touchpad controller, Mini connected XL, a navigation system, telephony and wireless charging. Customers can also benefit from the additional infotainment options such as Apple CarPlay and a 360-Watt audio system with 12-speakers sourced from Harman Kardon. Mechanically, the Oxford edition gets the 2.0-litre, four cylinder, turbo-petrol engine good for 189 bhp against 280 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties on the limited edition Mini Cooper Oxford are carried out by the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which comes with multiple driving modes-Standard, Sport and Green.
