Mitsubishi has unveiled the Pajero Final Edition for the European market. The SUV comes as the Japanese car manufacturer’s effort to give the iconic SUV a proper send off before the production stops. Despite being one of the iconic SUVs in the world auto market, Mitsubishi Pajero is experiencing declining sales cross the world in reent times. Known as the Mitsubishi Montero in India, the SUV is all set to be discontinued in European market later in 2018.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition will be available in a limited number of 1000 units only. The car will be available in both three-door short wheelbase and five-door models. The three-door short wheelbase variant will be available in a number of 300 units, while 700 units of the five-door variant will be produced. Each model will come sporting an unique number plate.
Mitsubishi says that the Pajero Final Edition is well capable of justifying the badge’s efficiency in off-roading. The Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition gets matte black finished steel bulbar, thick aluminum front skid plate, roof rails, 18-inch off-road alloy wheels with all terrain specific tyres. It sports cruise control rain sensing wipers etc.
Power source for the Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition is a 3.2-litre DI-D diesel engine capable of churning out 188 bhp of peak power and 441 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duty will be done by a 5-speed manual gearbox and power will be sent to all the four wheels through Super Select 4WD-II permanent AWD system.
