Mitsubishi India today launched the Automatic variant of the famous Pajero Sport at Rs 23.55 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The top of the line Pajero Sport 4x4 with manual transmission comes dearer by Rs 30000 now, increasing the price of the SUV to Rs 23.80 lakh.
This is the second launch of the company in a period of two months, after they launched a limited-edition Mitsubishi Pajero Sport with a dual tone paint-finish last month. Priced at Rs 23.99 (ex-showroom Mumbai), the SUV comes in a Flame Red with White and Lemon Yellow with White color combination. With the launch of the 4x2, Mitsubishi is eyeing to touch 4000 sales mark annually, almost double than the current sales numbers.

The power is now sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic gearbox and a new paddle shift is provided behind the wheels. The car also gets lighter by 105 kg, maximizing the output of the automatic, with those low torque figures.
On the inside, the SUV will get a 2-din audio system with navigation, reverse parking camera and an automatic climate control among other features. Mechanically, the Pajero Sport gets a double wishbone suspension up front and a 3-link rear setup with stabilizer bars to keep this mammoth of the car stable. The efficiency will also get a notch up as against the 4x4 version, as confirmed by the company.
The new AT Pajero Sport will compete against the Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai Santa Fe automatics in India.
