Mitsubishi is launching a new crossover MPV, the Xpander Cross in Indonesia on November 13, 2019. This 7-seater MPV offers the benefits of an SUV as well as an MPV.
The 7-seater Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is an ideal family-oriented vehicle capable of encountering all types of terrain without compromising on the comfort aspect. Mitsubishi claims that the Xpander was its fourth highest-selling model in 2018 with the sale of more than one lakh units.
The Xpander has introduced in Indonesia two years ago. Mitsubishi hopes to cash in on the popularity of the Xpander by launching the Xpander Cross. Thus, it plans to expand its production plant at Cikarang, Indonesia, where the Xpander Cross will be manufactured. This expansion will enable Mitsubishi to export the vehicle to other countries, as well.
The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross exterior boasts of the signature Dynamic Shield with the bumper skid-plate enhancing the height of the SUV. Other features include the introduction of LED headlamps, position lamps, and fog lamps to provide enhanced visibility.
When compared to the Xpander, the new model is 50mm wider with prominent wheel arches, 17-inch alloy wheels, door garnishes, silver-colored roof rails, a skid plate on the lower bumper, and a black tailgate garnish below the rear window.
The Xpander Cross is available in two color options, Sunrise Orange Metallic, and Graphite Grey Metallic. The interior get a black/brown combination along with a silver mesh decoration panel. The ground clearance of 225mm is one of the highlights that allows comfortable off-road driving.
The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross draws its power from the 4A91 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine mated with a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.
The high-performance vibration blocking and sound-absorbing design make the Xpander Cross one of the quietest vehicles in its category. This MPV can easily carry seven people with ample space to spare.
Other highlighting features include a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, attractive instrument panel, cruise control options, second-row folding armrest, and adequate luggage space. The 60:40 split in the second row and 50:50 split in the third-row seats enhance the storage capacity of the Xpander Cross.
