Indian auto giant, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd have announced that the company has appointed Anish Shah as the president of Group Special Projects with effect from August 1, 2014. Mr Shah will also be inducted into the group executive board of the company.
Prior to this appointment, Shah was the president and chief executive officer of General Electric (GE) Capital India, where he led the transformation of the business including, a turnaround of the SBI Card joint venture.
Shah holds a Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business where his doctoral thesis was on corporate governance. He also received a Masters degree from Carnegie Melon and has a post-graduate diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai.
