Mojo to be launched in ABS variant by April 2016

Snapshot: Initially Mojo will make up only to four of the major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. And later-on will make way to other prominent Indian cities.

Mahindra Two Wheelers is all set to launch their flagship motorcycle, Mojo next week. Mahindra showcased the motorcycle at the 2014 AutoExpo for the first time and since then the motorcycle has been spied a bunch of times and test ridden by all of the major journals including us. Since the current Mojo does not features ABS, Mahindra Two Wheelers will be coming up with an ABS equipped variant of the same by April next year.

Mojo will feature a dual channel ABS which governs the front as well as the rear wheel. Mr. PS Ashok, Senior Vice President and Head of R&D and Pune Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited, mentioned that initially Mojo will make up only to four of the major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. And later-on will make way to other prominent cities like Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Speaking about exports, Mr. Ashok mentioned that Mojo has been showcased to different markets and has received good response over-all. But the exports will only begin once the ABS model arrives. Mojo is schedule to be launched on 16th of this month and may fall into a price bracket of INR 1.6 to 1.8 lakh rupees.
