The completely possessed auxiliary Jaguar, of Tata Motors, finally launched the much awaited Jaguar F-Type in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The car was first unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and was later brought to India on the 8th of July this year. It was exposed in Chennai on 10th August 2013 with a starting price tag of 1.37 crores ex-showroom. The car was exposed by JLR India VP, Mr. Rohit Suri and the managing director of VST Grandeur, the JLR’s Chennai dealership Mr. Arun Surendra.
The F-Type is a 2 seater convertible sport automobile. In India it will be available in 2 engine variants a 3.0 liter V6 and a 5.0 liter V8 both are supercharged petrol blocks. This car has been fully created to have extreme agility, performance and driver attachment. Now the F-Type will join the arsenal of the XK Coupe and Convertible, along with many other GT and sport variants in India. The 3.0 liter V6 supercharged can hit the 100 Kmph mark in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 275 Kmph. The 5.0 liter V8 supercharged can hit the same 100 Kmph mark in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of over 300 Kmph. The 8 speed quick shift automatic transmission in both the variants helps the cars to reach such blistering speeds.
The 3.0 liter is called the F-Type S and is priced at 1.4 crores ex-showroom Chennai, and the 5.0 liter is called the F-Type V8S is priced at 1.65 crores ex-showroom Chennai. During the unveiling Mr. Rohit Suri quoted that, he was very pleased to bring the F-Type into South India. He also said since its launch in the Indian car Market the F-Type has acknowledged unparalleled reactions from the car’s customers, and he deems that the F-Type will definitely be a competition revolutionizer in the Indian Sports car bazaar.
