Recently our friends at Motoroids have posted a picture of soon to be launched Royal Enfield Himalayan. This certainly is the clearest spy image of Himalayan ever posted on internet till date and the image shows the bike clearly from head to tail. Himalayan looks like a promising adventure tourer, from the raised handle-bar, long front windscreen, meaty off-road tires, high suspension set-up and with ergonomics of a hard-core adventure tourer it looks like Himalayan is made for kicking some serious butt.
In a recent interview, Royal Enfield's CEO Siddhartha Lal told Visordown that if there is something that kept the Royal Enfield’s legacy alive then it is the Himalayas. People have been visiting the Himalayas on Royal Enfields for decades and it is the inspiration for the new Royal Enfield Himalayan. The new Himalayan is powered from a newly developed 410cc engine that we hope will be capable enough of 35bhp power and 40Nm of Torque. Few days back we reported that Royal Enfield is working to introduce its future models equipped with ABS and for time being its not certain if Himalayan will feature ABS or not. With long suspension travel and raised and extended handle bar, Himalayan looks ready to be taken anywhere on or off road.
