Audi has launched its much awaited luxury convertible, the new Audi A3 Cabriolet at Rs 47.98 lakh (Ex showroom, New Delhi). The latest version comes with lightweight construction and offers best-in-class safety, comfort and performance. The new A3 Cabriolet now comes with more body lines and newly sculpted hood along with company’s headlamp DRLs cluster and dynamic turn signal indicators at the rear (also seen on the Audi A4 and Audi Q7).

The model dons a sporty yet elegant proportion and adds an acoustic lightweight cloth top. Along with noise insulation, which is offered as an option, it is raised or closed with electro-hydraulic drive at speed up to 50 kmpl. Dimensionally, it measures 4,423 mm in overall length, 1,793 mm in width, height of 1,409 mm and sits on a wheelbase of 2,595 mm. Inside, the car comes packed with a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with MMI navigation, sound system by Bang and Olufsen, dual-zone air-conditioning, Audi parking system plus with camera sensors at both front and rear of the car.
Under the hood, the new Audi A3 Cabriolet is powered by a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol Cylinder on Demand (COD) engine that enables temporary cylinder shut-off when the engine is operating at partial load. The powertrain is good enough to make 148 bhp of maximum power with 250 Nm of top torque and delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 19.20 kmpl.
In terms of safety, it still continues to feature 5-airbags, ABS with EBD as a standard. The is also readying to launch the new Audi A4 diesel variant this month.
