BMW, the German luxury automaker, has officially unveiled the new X4 M40i - the new top-end model in the X4 lineup. The new BMW X4 M40i also marks the world premiere of the company's newly-developed M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine. The X4 M40i Sports Activity Coupe segment (SAC) would be available at dealers starting February 2016. Just so you know, the X4 SAC comes with best-in-segment acceleration as it does a 0-100kmph sprint in just 4.7 seconds.
BMW X4 M40i gets exclusive Ferric Gray metallic accents at the front fascia and side mirrors. The new SAC also flaunts exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy double-spoke wheels with optional Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Inside the cabin, the X4 M40i has M leather wrapped steering wheel, M gear shift lever, sport seats, model-specific door sills and “X4 M40i” digital lettering on the instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the BMW X4 M40i has the new 3.0L, 6-cylinder engine which belts out 355bhp of top power between 5800-6000 rpm and peak torque of 465Nm. The engine is linked to an 8-speed STEPTRONIC sports transmission, while power being disbursed evenly to all the four wheels via BMW's intelligent all-wheel drive system. Just so you know, This engine is the most powerful M Performance gasoline engine to date. As told before, the BMW X4 M40i delivers best-in-class acceleration, running the sprint from 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds, before topping out at 240kmph. Also, the M Performance TwinPower Turbo engine benefits from TwinScroll Turbo technology, the High Precision Injection system, the Double VANOS variable camshaft control system and VALVETRONIC, the fully variable valve control system as standard equipment. This corresponds to an increase in performance of nearly 18 percent compared to the BMW X4 xDrive35i.
