The German perfectionist Volkswagen has announced that the brand will unveil the Caddy Bluemotion business automobile at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, that’s only a day away. The Caddy will be presented to the customers with many diverse engine trims and models, the brand says that offering plenty of options are the key to success. The new Bluemotion is considered to be the most fuel efficient Caddy ever built, it produces a mileage of 22.23 Kmpl.
The new Bluemotion will be powered by the same 1.6 liter TDI Common rail diesel injection engine, that can produce a maximum power of 100 BHP and 250 NM Torque. The fuel capacity is 60 liters, so when the mileage part is taken into serious consideration, the Bluemotion is capable of running 1,300 kilometers on one full tank. Many things were redesigned, added and changed to get that fuel economy number, such as the addition of start stop function and low undulating opposition tires. The redesigning of the body to make it more aerodynamic, lowering the whole vehicle by 27 mm and changing a few things like, efficient engine control and recovery of braking energy or simply known as battery regeneration.
As mentioned earlier, as part of Volkswagen’s strategy, the short wheel based Bluemotion is available in 4 paraphernalia versions, two commercial variants called the Panel van and Kombi and 2 commuter hauling models. Whereas the Bluemotion can be identified with a notable emblem on the back, special full wheel covers, lowered body and body colored side guard strips. There are quite a few worthy features such as, cruise control system, standard hill control, air vents in high-gloss black and exclusive seat upholstery. These features come as standard in the passenger version of the Bluemotion. If you need the same features on the commercial models, it can be done but with an extra cost.
