Till now you may realized that out of 375 units of McLaren P1 (all of which were sold already), we try to cover every possible piece of this gorgeous supercar. While we are not biased in any way, we still feel that this is one of the original supercar manufacturers in the world and she needs to come to India. Who wouldn't like to watch one of these in the flesh?
Until it happens, we will keep on reporting on every single customized unit that comes from the house of McLaren, and more so from its Special Operations Division. MSO has taken the wraps off another customized P1 hybrid supercar. This particular unit is made for David Kyte, chairman and founder of Hamilton Court FX.
McLaren Special Operations is famous for taking one of these already gorgeous beauties and convert it to something special. For Mr. David, MSO went for a glossy blue exteriors with glossy black alloys. The front spoiler, hood air extractor, side skirts, door surrounds and rear diffuser are done in red accent while the brake calipers are also finished in red.
Unlike exteriors, the interiors are not so flashy and are extensively done in carbon fibre. The carbon fibre side sills are engraved with "McLaren Special Operations" lettering. The center console is done in a light blue shade, while the seats are Alcantara-wrapped. An extensive use of carbon fiber ensures that the P1 weighs only 1400 kg, with all those complex hybrid setup.
As a refresher, we must tell you that McLaren only built 375 units of P1 and they had no problem selling all of these. Sold just in eight months of its launch in 2013, the cars are now delivered to their respective owners.
