DSK has recently unveiled the Benelli Leoncino, a middleweight motorcycle. According to reports, this middle weight is all set to go on sale in November 2017. The company had previously decided to go with four other new products this year but finally reformed its strategy to introduce the new Scrambler.
The new DSK Benelli Leoncino Scrambler is a much affordable middleweight motorcycle designed to be a definite performer, attracting youngsters with its friendly features and vintage looks. It is a perfect blend of retro styling and advanced features to enrich the ride with smooth dynamics. It comes with off-road terrain tyres, spoke rims and higher ground clearance. It has a round headlight surrounded by LED turn indicators which appear to be a fresh appeal. It has an overall kerb weight of 170 kilograms and has a fuel tank of 15 litres.
The engine at the heart of the new DSK Benelli Leoncino Scrambler is a 499.6 cc 2-cylinder motor. This engine is capable of developing a maximum power of 47 bhp at 8,500 revolutions per minute and a peak torque of 45 Nm at 4,500 revolutions per minute. The overall torque will be produced at a relatively low rpm in order to generate lesser vibration for a smooth riding experience. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for transmission. It is also given 320 mm dual discs unit for the front wheel and a 260 mm single disc at the rear for its braking. ABS will be added as a standard feature in the motorcycle.
The new Benelli Leoncino Scrambler is expected to be priced at Rs. 4.5 lakh and will be throwing its guards against the other 600-650 cc cafe racers in the segment. It will be available in several colour trims.
