Expanding the EcoSport Lineup, Ford launched a new range-topping EcoSport S and Signature Edition in India. The EcoSport S gets an introductory Price of Rs 11.37 Lakh for petrol and Rs 11.89 Lakh for the diesel version, whereas the Signature Edition would be available for limited duration that has been priced at Rs 10.40 Lakh for petrol and Rs 10.99 Lakh for the diesel variant. The new Ford EcoSport is available with seven colour options – Lightning Blue, Canyon Ridge, Race Red, Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Smoke Grey.

The addition of Sunroof, a feature that customers have been demanding, and world-renowned EcoBoost engine technology, is an example of our commitment. Driven by customer feedback, the two new editions make our compact SUV even more stylish, trendier and fun-to-drive.”
The new EcoSport S variant gets all-new smoked HID headlamps with dark inserts along with more prominent black treatment to the fog lamp bezel, a blacked out grille, black painted roof & roof rails and the model rides on 17 inch smoked alloy wheels. Inside, the EcoSport S features orange accents on the seats and instrument panel, while it also gets a new 4.2-inch digital information cluster along with the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 3 and six airbags as well. Apart from that, Ford has also introduced sunroof in the new EcoSport.
Mechanically, the EcoSport S will come powered with company’s known 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that cranks out 123bhp of top power with 170Nm of peak torque, returning a claimed fuel economy of 18.1 kmpl. The diesel is 1.5-litre TDCi motor that produces 99bhp of peak power, returning a claimed fuel economy of 23 Kmpl.
The Signature Edition features a more imposing grille with chrome surround and Diamond-cut 17 inch alloy wheels, black fog-lamp bezel along with all round graphics, rear spoiler and roof rails. Inside, Ford made subtle use of blue accents on seat stitching, centre console and instrument panel to add to its overall appeal. Customers can opt to buy the EcoSport Signature Edition as an option pack on the car’s Titanium variant.
Under the bonnet, the EcoSport Signature Edition will come paired to a 1.5-litre three-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine that makes 121bhp of power, returning a fuel efficiency of 17 Kmpl along with the same 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine.
Ford EcoSport compete with the likes of the recently introduced Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon. apart from that, the car will also rival with the upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift as well, in terms of power figures.
