Ford India has officially launched the new Endeavour SUV in the country, which is priced at Rs 23.64 lakh and goes upto Rs 28.15 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi), for the 3.2-litre motor. The New Ford Endeavour would be offered in two trims - Trend and Titanium - with a total of 6 variants, including a 4X4 and an automatic variant. In addition, the SUV would get several premium comfort and safety features as standard. The brand is hoping that the new Endeavour will build on the strengths of the outgoing car and bring in more customers to its dealerships.
Talking about the exterior, it gets a huge rectangular shaped chrome grille with square shaped lampsand upmarket LED-units. The high mounted grille also gives a sense of indestructibility to this car. The side profile with its chunky tyres and puffed up arches gives it a muscular look. This SUV is built on a longer wheelbase than both its main rivals, the Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Trailblazer. Further going to the rear, gets rectangular lamps and a chrome strip running along the tail gate.
Looking at the exterior it gives an impression of loads of room inside. With the last row of seats is surprisingly roomy and making 2010 liters of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The Endevaour’s seats are actually useable for taller adults over long journeys. Last row occupants get their own AC vents as well as cupholders for longer journeys. The interior quality, design of the AC vents and also gets SYNC2 touchscreen unit which can recognize over 10,000 voice commands, so it is definitely superior than its outgoing model.
As for the mechanical, the new Ford Endeavour will get two engine options, a 3.2-litre diesel TDCi delivers 198 bhp and a smaller 2.2-litre TDCi that will produce 158 bhp of power. Where the top-ranging engine comes with only a six-speed automatic, while the smaller engine comes with an auto as well as manual gearbox. Where the 2.2-litre has a fuel consumption of 14.12 kpl the 3.2-litre does 10.91kpl.
When it comes to features, this SUV offers seven airbags, traction control, hill descent control, ABS, Ford’s Terrain management system, cruise control, dual zone climate control, powered tailgate, electrically operated driver’s seat and a host of other features as standard kit on the top of the line Titanium version.
