Ford India has confirmed the launch of the new Ford Endeavour in January. Reportedly, the new endeavour is expected to go on for a market launch in the third week of the January 2016. The brand has already started training its sales and services personnel for the launch. This new gen 7-seater premium SUV promises to be better than its outgoing predecessor in every aspect.
The new Ford Endeavour is built on an all-new platform “T6” shared from the Ford Ranger pickup. It features a revamped design that appears to be more curvy in shape, gets an appealing chrome grille, projector headlights, rectangular fog lamps, bumpers with scuff plates with extended silver trims, ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators, side steps, contrast roof rails, wraparound tail lamps, and alloy wheels. The new SUV will be offered with the Ford SYNC 2 system and a new Terrain Management System.
This next generation SUV will be offered in two TDCi diesel engines which is a 2.2-litre four cylinder engine producing 160 PS and 385 Nm of torque and comes mated either to a 6-speed Manual Transmission or 6-speed Automatic Transmission, and a range-topping 3.2-litre five cylinder motor produces an impressive 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission with an All-Wheel Drive system.
The new Ford Endeavour will compete with the likes of current Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, SsangYong Rexton, Hyundai Santa Fe and Chevrolet Trailblazer, recently launched in this segment.
