New-Gen Honda Amaze to have Special Price for First 20000 Customers

New-generation Honda Amaze is all set to be launched on May 16, 2018 in the Indian market. The bookings for the new sedan are underway at an amount of Rs. 11,000 at all the company authorized dealerships. But prior to the official launch, an ET Auto report claims that first 20000 customers would be able to buy the Amaze sedan at a special introductory price. For those asking, for the first time ever, Honda Amaze would be available with CVT gearbox in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. It would be introduced in four grades: E, S, V, and VX.

Speaking to the publication, Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, "The response to the all-new Honda Amaze since its world premiere at the Auto Expo has been overwhelming. As a special gesture to all the Honda loyalists, who are booking the car even before knowing the price and variant details, we have decided to offer a special introductory price for the initial 20,000 bookings." Speaking of the features, the new-generation Honda Amaze would get the 7-inch DIGIPAD 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto And Apple CarPlay, automatic air conditioning, engine start/stop button, electrically adjustable and electric folding ORVM, LED position lamps, rear parking sensors with camera, fog lamps, and alloy wheels.

Mechanically, the 2018 Honda Amaze would be offered in both petrol and diesel trims with the same engines. The petrol variants would be powered by the 1.2L i-VTEC engine which develops top power of 89bhp and peak torque of 110Nm. The diesel variants would belt out maximum power of 99bhp for the manual variant and 79bhp for the CVT variant with torque outputs of 200Nm and 160Nm, respectively. The CVT gearbox will not be offered with base E and top-end VX trims but with mid variants S and V. The petrol manual and automatic variants would return a mileage of 19.50kmpl and 19kmpl, respectively while the diesel manual and CVT variants would deliver fuel economy of 27.40kmpl and 23.80kmpl, respectively. The prices for the petrol variants are expected to start from Rs. 6 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
