Toyota has given an official confirmation on the next-generation Corolla India launch, touted to be in 2020, possibly after the new BS-VI norms are pressed into action. The new 12th generation Toyota Corolla sedan was revealed recently in China.
According to N Raja, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, “Looking at the technology, the new Toyota Corolla will get to come to India more with the timelines based on Bharat Stage Six and other things."
The Corolla car is the Japanese auto manufacturing giant’s famous international model and the latest version of the Toyota Corolla will be pitted against Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia and SUVs in the same price range.
Toyota India Launches Doorstep Service Initiative
As proclaimed by Toyota during the 2018 launch, the new-generation Toyota Corolla will be made available worldwide spanning more than 150 countries. As of now, Toyota Motor Corporation has sold approximately 47 million units of the famous Corolla in varied body styles ranging from a coupe, hatchback, sedan and wagon.
The new Toyota Corolla is aggressive and more stylish in comparison with the existing present-generation Corolla available in India. The new Corolla also features an entirely new interior with a semi-digital or fully-digital metre console and floating central display screen.
Toyota's version of Vitara Brezza India launch in 2020-21
The Maruti Suzuki and Toyota venture will also see the new Toyota Corolla being shared as a strategic pact. Toyota will sell the Baleno hatchback and the Vitara Brezza compact SUV rebadged under its name with visual upgrades. Whereas, Maruti will rebadge and sell the Corolla under its brand as a new flagship sedan.
