Honda Cars India has unveiled the next-generation Amaze sedan at the 2018 Auto Expo. The second-generation Honda Amaze made its world premiere in presence of Mr. Takahiro Hachigo, President & Representative Director, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.. It would be launched in the Indian market in the FY 2018-19. In addition, the Japanese automaker also unveiled the all-new 5th generation CR-V and 10th generation Civic sedan. Both the models would be launched in diesel fuel trim for the first time in FY 2018-19 in the country.
Honda Amaze was firstly introduced in 2013 and its been almost five years since the current-gen model has been on sale. The second-gem sedan is based on an all-new platform while it showcases Honda's all-new bold design, spacious interior cabin, efficient powertrains and outstanding driving dynamics. It has been developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd located in Bangkok, Thailand. The company has chosen India to lead the launch of all-new Amaze, which will take place in the second half of this year.
The 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that puts out 88 PS/109 Nm version with a 5-speed manual transmission and 90 PS/110 Nm with a continuously variable transmission should continue post the lifecycle makeover. The 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel is also expected to be carried over unchanged.
