New-generation Honda Amaze is all set to be launched on May 16, 2018 in the Indian market. The bookings for the new sedan has been underway since the last month at all the company authorized dealerships at an amount of Rs. 11,000. Last week, it entered series production at Honda's Tapukara facility in Rajasthan. Now, we have learnt about the variants and features of the new-gen Honda Amaze. The updated model of the Japanse automaker's entry-level sedan would be in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in four grades: E, S, V and VX.
The 2018 Honda Amaze would get chrome grille, dual-tone interiors with a piano black console, air-conditioning and driver side auto down window as standard features. The mid-level S variant would be fairly feature rich as it would boast of keyless entry, tilt steering with audio controls, height adjustable driver seat, adjustable front seat headrests, rear arm rest with cup holders and a 2-DIN audio system with 4 speakers, AM / FM / Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth. Additionally, it would also come with body coloured door handles, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with LED turn signals and a shark fin antenna. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ISOFIX child safety seat anchor points and reverse parking sensors would be offered as standard safety features across the entire variant lineup.
Moving to the V trim, which would also feature the CVT gearbox, it is believed to be equipped with a plethora of exquisite features such as LED positioning headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, engine start/stop button, automatic climate control with outside temperature display, electromagnetic trunk opening, welcome light and paddle shifters. Last but not the least, the flagship VX variant would carry several avant-garde features in form of a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice recognition, cruise control and driver side window with one-touch auto up and down function and pinch guard. Under the hood, the new-gen Honda Amaze would continue with the same 1.2L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engines with 5-speed manual and CVT gearboxes.
