New Generation Hyundai Verna Launched at Rs. 7.99 Lakhs

Hyundai India has launched the next generation Hyundai Verna sedan at an introductory price of Rs. 7.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The South-Korean automaker has sold more than 8.8  million units of the 2017 Hyundai Verna globally across 66 nations. The new-gen Verna comes in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with several cosmetic updates, while mechanically retaining the same set of petrol and diesel powertrains. Hyundai Verna would be challenging the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid in the Indian market.

Speaking at the launch of The Next Gen Verna, Mr. Y K Koo, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited said, "The Next Gen Verna is 'Intelligent by Design' and an All-rounder car with Human Technology Connect comprising Futuristic Design, Smart Connect, Ingenious Detailling, Superior Dynamics and Super Body Structure for new age aspirational customers. The Verna brand has been a landmark product in Hyundai growth story winning many prestigious accolades worldwide. The Next Gen Verna is engineered to deliver excellence in all core areas of Styling, Performance, Technology, Safety and Ride & Handling creating a new benchmark in the sedan segment." The front fascia of the new sedan flaunts sweptback projector headlamps with LED DRLs, projector foglamps with chrome treatment and Signature Hyundai Cascade grille with chrome surrounds.

The next-gen Hyundai Verna rides on 5-spoke 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, while the rear end boasts of split type LED tail lamp cluster, Shark fin antenna and dual tone bumper. The boot capacity has also gone up by 30 litres as the current space stands at 480 litres. Underpinning the all-new K2 platform as the Elantra sedan, the updated sedan gets 3.5-inch Mono TFT-LCD instrument cluster, rear adjustable headrest and sliding front centre console armrest as standard features. The interior cabin is finished in dual tone beige and black upholstery, while several first-in-segment features such as front ventilated seats, smart trunk, smartphone connectivity with IPS panel, FATC with Cluster Ionizer, Electric sunroof, rear AC vents, Voice recognition, Cruise control, Engine Start/Stop button, and Hyundai Auto Link make it even more rich and tempting.
