Lexus is gearing up to launch the new generation ES 300h in India in August 2018 and the luxury sedan is expected to be priced at around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest generation Lexus ES 300h luxury sedan comes visually more appealing and it also gets a wide range of new features over the current model. It comes at par with the Mercedes Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series.
Lexus entered the Indian market late compared to its German and Swedish rivals, but the automaker is aiming to grow fast here. In an attempt to achieve that goal, the luxury automaker has already launched several appealing models. The brand is also expecting to see a greater sales number in coming days as the demands for the luxury cars are increasing fast.
Now, speaking about the Lexus ES 300h, based on the FWD Global Architecture-K, derived from Toyota’s TNGA platform, the new generation model of the sedan comes sporting the large and bold looking spindle grille flanked by sharper restyled LED headlamps. The large new design wheels, a sporty looking boot and crisp looking LED taillights add more appeal to the sedan.
The 2018 Lexus ES 300h comes with a restyled interior as well that features a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition technology. The digital instrument cluster too comes as digital and the sedan clearly takes inspiration from LS. There is a 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system delivering supreme quality sound. Other features include power-reclining rear seats, sliding front passenger seat etc. The new ES 300h will come as CBU here and power source for the sedan will be a 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled with an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain generates 215 bhp of peak power.
