The eighth generation Toyota Camry will arrive with significant design changes compared to the current model. It will be based on the GA-K architecture, the same platform underpinning the Lexus ES300h. The sedan will appear larger, wider and its wheelbase too will be longer by 50 mm. There will be a V shaped front grille connecting the sharp headlamps. Sleek creases will enhance its style further.

Thanks to the dimensional change, new Camry will offer more space for the occupants in an already spacious cabin. There will be improved insulation to minimize the noise from outside inside cabin. The new Camry gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system at centre console, a 10-inch head-up display and a 7-inch MID at instrument cluster. Seat and upholstery materials will come of more improved quality, while the dual-zone automatic climate control, 9-speaker JBL audio system will enhance the premiumness further.

Coming to the powertrain segment, the eighth generation Toyota Camry will get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out 173 bhp of peak power and 221 Nm of peak torque. There will be a hybrid variant as well, powered by the Toyota Hybrid System II. This powertrain will generate a combined power output will of 205 bhp of peak power. Transmission options will include an 8-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed CVT with paddle shifter as well.
